“Sweetgrass is critical to providing the necessary and culturally relevant support that Indigenous survivors need. Despite the high rates of domestic violence our women face, services that specifically serve Native women are chronically underfunded. We know what works—we just need the tools to do it.”
Ways to Give
We are currently accepting electronic donations using Cash App with the username $SweetgrassAdvocacy. While we understand not everyone utilizes this app, it is free of charge to us and we receive 100% of the amount you donated.
We will not receive funds donated on the Red Wind Consulting site even though there is still a tab designated for Haseya. Please do not submit donations there.
Although we will accept any dollar amount, we suggest financial donations that have meaning; $51.00 for the 51 Tribal Nations that have ties to CO, $18.51 for the 1851 Treaty of Fort Wise, $19.70 for the year Native people could vote in CO, $45.00 as 4 out of 5 Native people will experience violence in their lifetime. $135.00 for the approximate number of Native people who are missing or were murdered in CO .
We support survivors through all stages of the recovery process. Donations of supplies can help us provide Native survivors with the materials they need for job applications, court hearings, and living a safe and healthy life.
